Challenge
National Grid needed to explain complex natural gas supply and demand scenarios to downstate New York customers and gather public feedback.

National Grid achieved a public service roadshow and virtual engagement experience through an informational website, custom illustrations, videos, reports, event planning, and accessibility support built by Millennium.
How we made it happen:
Millennium made the National Grid project happen by translating complex technical information into public-facing digital, print, and event materials. The work helped customers understand supply and demand scenarios and share feedback.
Millennium distilled a 100+ page report into easier-to-understand assets for the general public. The work included scenario explanations, custom illustration, infographics, video, and customer-friendly reports.
Millennium supported in-person event planning with signage, wayfinding, informational posters, customer flow planning, and 3D space renderings. The team planned areas for check-in, refreshments, self learning, live presentations, and Q&A.
When COVID-19 disrupted in-person gatherings, Millennium shifted the experience to live streaming events. The virtual experience used Webex, video presentations, moderated Q&A, a speaker queue, and feedback tools.
This project helped National Grid educate customers and collect feedback through public-facing web, print, in-person, and virtual experiences.

Millennium moved National Grid's events from in-person to virtual by building a live streaming event flow after the COVID-19 outbreak. The virtual format helped customers access information and participate when in-person gatherings were no longer practical.
The virtual event used Webex, video presentations for each scenario, moderated Q&A, and a speaker queue. Millennium also supported a dynamic website, feedback survey, custom illustrations, and videos.
The team later supported a follow-up report with updated scenarios based on customer feedback. Millennium created a new customer-friendly report, translated it into Spanish, and produced a WCAG-compliant website for downloadable PDFs.
